New dogs must be licensed within 30 days of their arrival to Deerfield.

Purchase Licenses

Requirements

Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination (and spay/neuter certificate, if applicable) from Vet must be provided in order to purchase a dog license.

License Fees Per Dog

  • Spayed or Neutered = $5.50*
  • Female or Male = $10.50*

If the dog's owner is 70 years or older, the license fee will be waived. Please submit a self-addressed stamped envelope and your request for a dog license and we will mail it to you! (Late fee will apply if licensed after April 30th)

*A late fee of $50 per dog begins May 1st.

Dog License Renewal Reminder

A Dog License Renewal reminder is mailed out every January. It is attached to the bottom of your Census (Annual Street List).

Note: When you return your Census to the Town Clerk's office, include the Dog License Renewal form, a copy of current rabies vaccination, and a check for the appropriate amount made out to the Town of Deerfield. We will then mail you a new Dog License along with any Vet paperwork that you included!
