Purchasing Records

Certified copies of Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates can be purchased through the Town Clerk's office.

Certified copies are $10.00 each.

How to Request

They may be requested:

  • In person at the Town Hall located at 8 Conway Street
  • Drop Box located in the Town Hall foyer, accessible 24/7
  • By mail to:

  • Online through the Town of Deerfield's online payment website

Records We Have

The Town Clerk's office would have records for the following scenarios:

  • Birth Certificates - persons whose parents were residing in Deerfield at the time of their birth or whose birth occurred in Deerfield
  • Death Certificates - persons who passed away in Deerfield or who passed away in Massachusetts and listed their residence as Deerfield
  • Marriage Certificates - couples who filed their Marriage Intentions in Deerfield

All records are filed by date.

Accessible records are dated back to the late 1600s.

Ancestry Research

If you are interested in researching your ancestry and are not sure of exact dates of records to provide to the Town Clerk's staff to find, you may come to the Town Hall and look through the vital record books yourself.
